The two days fest entitled, “Radiance of Jharkhand”, organised by Bishop Westcott Boys’ School, Namkom, culminated on 25th October, 2025, as the second and the final day of the event , with the purpose of educating the students about Jharkhand and its rich culture and traditions in a practical way, beyond the classrooms , an innovative approach made by Mr. J. J. Edwin, the Principal of the School. 

The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Smt. Mahua Maji. The Principals of Westcott Group of Schools, Ms. N. Jacobs, Mrs. J. Edwin, Mr. I . A. Jacob and Mrs Archana Dhan along with Rev. Samuel Bhuiyan, Rev. Arvind and Rev. K. N. Philip graced the occasion 

An overall presentation of Jharkhand’s Cultural , Geographical, Infrastructural and Political aspects were displayed through various projects , ramp walks in ethnic styles and different tribal dances as Chau and Paika . The Jharkhand’s cuisine was also a centre of attraction for the visitors , parents and students of different eminent schools of the city.

 A tableau on the Life of Birsa Munda was also enacted by the students of the school. The visitors also tapped to the beats of the popular Nagpuri songs, performed by the live band.

Overall the fest focussed on the diminishing customs and traditional values of Jharkhand and made an effort to enrich the people around to be grounded to the Flora, Fauna , Art, Culture and Traditions , the state bestows.
