Guidelines for Guardians

Parents/Guardians are requested to keep in mind the fact that this is not a business establishment but a school for all and home for many of its students. Teachers and all others employed are here for the smooth functioning of the School. So the parents/guardians who come to the school should follow certain rules, which are summarized below;


  • Parents/Guardians may visit your wards on the 1 st and 3rd Saturday/Sunday only. Parents are permitted to visit their wards only on the stipulated dates as per the school fixture list. Parents are not allowed to meet their wards on any other days. The School is not responsible if any boy leaves the school premises without an EXEAT.
  • Please meet your wards between 12:30pm to 4:00 pm on the above mentioned dates after seeking permission from the office. If the parents go out with their wards, they are to make sure that they take the gate pass from the school office before leaving the school campus and this gate pass will have to be produced at the time of returning. Please make sure that your ward returns to the campus before 4.00 p.m.
  • If anyone except the authorized parents/guardians comes to meet a student, they must bring an authorization letter with the signature of the visitor attested by the parent / guardian concerned, failing which, the school authorities will refuse to let the concerned visitor meet the student. This is to ensure the safety of the students.
  • Supplying of anything not prescribed by the school is strictly prohibited. Food articles or any other utility articles should be deposited in the office and should not be carried to the dormitories.
  • If the student is taking any medicine, the matter should be brought to the notice of the school authorities in writing supported with the copy of the prescription by the doctor and handed over to the school nurse.
  • Parents are requested to talk to their wards on the phone on the prescribed days between 9:00 pm and 10:00 pm.
  • Parents should not approach the school with the request to release the child before the date scheduled for the vacations to commence. No such request shall be entertained.
  • Parents can meet the Principal and teachers after taking a prior appointment
  • To prevent losses, Parents/guardians will kindly write the name or the dormitory number or both on every garment, books and other articles wherever possible.
  • Students are strictly forbidden to keep mobile phones and use them when they are in the school. There are also not allowed to bring MP4's and pen drives. If caught with a mobile etc, the gadget shall immediately be seized and submitted to the school office.
  • All pocket-money must be sent through the School Office and not directly to the boy, either in letters or parcels THE SCHOOL IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSS OF MONEY IF IN A BOY’S POSSESSION.
  • Guardians are requested to come to school only during office hours on the working days.
  • Parents/guardians are strictly forbidden to go to the dormitories for any reason whatsoever and they should confine their visits to the area around the school offices and the visitor’s room. Parents will also please refrain from going to the dining hall without the permission of the authority concerned.
  • Parents/guardians are required to behave well and politely with every member of the school staff when they visit the school. Rough behaviour with any member of the staff shall not be tolerated.
  • During Vacations, parents should encourage the students to study and keep their lesson updated. Please note that when the students come home for vacations, they have no addictions for T.V. or Mobiles.
  • Students who return late after vacations/short holidays will be fined Rs. 1001- initially and Rs. 25/- for each successive day they are absent from the stipulated date of return.
  • The guardian need not assign any reason for the late arrival of his ward. However if the child was sick and if proper Medical Certificates and prescriptions are produced to the satisfaction of the Principal, the said amount will not be deducted.
  • Pupils are not allowed to leave school during term except for urgent reasons, which must be clearly stated when the request for leave of absence is made.
  • The students who wear spectacles should be provided with an extra pair as the child may not suffer if one pair is broken, damaged or misplaced.
  • The school should be immediately intimated in case of change of address or the phone number.
  • When your wards leave home to come to the hostel please check their bags and make sure that unwanted substances or any other intoxicants are not carried by them. Please also intimate them not to indulge in any of the above activities, under no circumstances what so ever. If any students are found indulging in taking any addictives he will be dismissed from the hostel and the school.
  • We solicit your full and sincere co-operation as these rules are only intended for the betterment of your wards. If parents and the school co-operate in a harmonious way, we can do wonders with the children under our care.
